"she described the one painting that Bessie had painted and how this painting was the only piece of art that she had ever created, the only real way we have of remembering her. She had taken one painting class, created one watercolour and so there were no more. When she died, she left the painting to them and it still hangs on their wall; they treasure it."

FUZZYLOGICENSEMBLE,Ireland's largest and longest running contemporary improvising ensembles, fashion arrangements with a quirky beauty and rich orchestral palette to create a jazz sound beyond the big-band tradition. With composer Dylan Rynhart at the helm on Hammond organ, the group have been making an impression on the Irish jazz scene for the past six years with their lyrical and innovative signature style.
Ireland's finest young musicians put Rynhart's quirky and evocative compositions through their paces with hallmark skill and tenacity in a line up which includes a large arsenal of instruments and personalities.
This concert, featuring international guest artists Florian Ross (Germany) and Tom Arthurs (UK), will premiere music from FUZZYLOGICENSEMBLE's latest album Mouthpiece, recorded in January of this year. Mouthpiece is an album made, as Rynhart says "to inspire others to make even the simplest sounds, just for the sheer joy it brings" inspired by a painting his grandmother created, her one and only painting, which lives on in his family home as a testament to the joy that art can bring to the observer and the listener, that creativity opens a door to the memory of moments, and that the creation of one piece of art can become a treasure like no other.
